Andy began his career at the BBC’s Music TV dept. with one foot in live music coverage (Top of the Pops, Glastonbury, Later with Jools Holland) and the other in documentaries (Punk Britannia, The Making of Elton John, The Girl from Ipanema).
After ten years he moved to BBC Arts to make Culture Show films on The Smiths, Damon Albarn, architecture and fine art.
The next decade as a freelance has seen Andy specialise in self-shot arts films for all UK broadcasters alongside major commercial brands in the art & design field.
In 2018 his independent feature documentary about photographer Harold Feinstein premiered at DOC NYC, was picked up for international distribution and screened in Curzon cinemas and on Sky Arts in the UK.
He combines emotionally intelligent interviewing and directing with a natural photographic flair and a warm, enthusiastic attitude.
Andy was awarded the 2021 Guild of Television Camera Professionals - Award for Excellence for his work on Huey Morgan's Latin Music Adventure.
